Another portrait I took of Nicky Wire from last year for all you Manics fans out there… It’s just a pretty simple head shot really - and nowhere near as intimate or interesting as the one where he’s holding his guitar that I had printed in National Treasures, he doesn’t give much away with the shades - but there is something about it I quite like.

I think this might already be on my website but here is a shot of Florence I took last year. Photographed her a lot but never like this. Was pretty mad when she strolled out of the changing room.

This was also the day people started rioting in London… I remember that drive home.

A portrait of the Manic Street Preachers that I took last summer.

Last time I saw Nicky was at the launch of his book ‘Death Of A Polaroid’ which also contains images by very many a great photographer from throughout the bands career.

I got an amazing Limited Edition version of the book with one of Nick’s photos mounted in a folio. If you love Polaroids you should by this book.

Here are some of my portraits of the Manic Street Preachers as featured in their latest album ‘National Treasures’. I photographed them at the bands studio in Cardiff. I’ve loved the Manics since I got their ‘Stay Beautiful’ CD single back in 1991 so it was a real honour to have my work included in their CD artwork 20(!) years later. I’d wanted to work with this band for a long time. A couple of these images are reproduced more faithfully on my website.

Another portrait I’m rather happy with is this one of Paul Weller that I took back in the summer at his recording studio. A very funny guy I thought and generous with his sandwiches too. This one features in the 25th Anniversary issue of Q Magazine if you want to see it in all it’s glory.

Well we could go sit on the beach like everyone else in Brighton OR the afternoon could be spent baking… My first attempt at a chocolate roulade after watching The Great British Bake Off the other week… I’m not one to boast but… NAILED IT. : )

Been seeing this photo I took of Wretch-32 for his album cover all over the shop which is nice because he’s a lovely guy and I was well happy that his album went top five in the UK. I’d photographed Wretch before for Q Magazine and a few months later we got together again to do this. We just shot it out on a street in Tottenham one afternoon last May in the natural light.
